Terms of Service
Last updated: December 2025
Testnet Prototype
Norn is currently running on the Tempo testnet. All tokens and transactions have no real monetary value. This is experimental software for testing purposes.
What Norn Is
Norn is a payment platform that allows users to claim a unique username and receive payments through a simple link. The service is built on the Tempo blockchain and uses passkey authentication or external wallets for account access.
By using Norn, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Testnet Tokens Have No Value
Norn currently operates on the Tempo testnet. This means:
- All tokens (including aUSD) are testnet tokens with no real monetary value
- Transactions are for testing and demonstration purposes only
- Testnet data may be reset or cleared at any time
- Do not attempt to buy, sell, or trade testnet tokens
Your Responsibilities
When using Norn, you agree to:
- Keep your passkey or wallet credentials secure
- Not claim usernames that infringe on others' rights or impersonate others
- Not use the service for illegal activities
- Not attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the service
- Understand that blockchain transactions are public and permanent
Account & Data
Your Norn account is tied to your wallet address. We don't have access to your private keys or passkey credentials — they're stored on your device or in your wallet.
Information you provide (username, display name, avatar) is stored on our servers and/or the blockchain. Transaction data is publicly visible on the blockchain.
Intellectual Property
Norn's brand, logo, and website content are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.
Content you create (like your display name and avatar) remains yours, but you grant us permission to display it as part of the service.
Disclaimers
Norn is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. This is experimental software and may contain bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities.
We are not responsible for:
- Loss of access to your account or wallet
- Any perceived "loss" of testnet tokens (they have no value)
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Actions of other users
- Issues with the underlying Tempo blockchain
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of Norn after changes means you accept the new terms.
